Representative Steve Hodges, Democratic Party nominee for Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, attended a forum held at Wednesday’s SEMO-10 meeting in Chaffee, Missouri. A crowd of approximately 50 people were on hand to listen to Hodges viewpoints on such subjects as the national debt, the use of drones on the American public, Homeland Security , the Federal Reserve and the Second amendment.
Representative Hodges brought a message of Conservative, Christian values, stating that he was against abortion and gay marriage.
When asked about the recent scandal involving the Missouri Department of Revenue, scanning documents and facial images of those renewing drivers licenses Hodges stated: “It’s wrong”
The Marble Hill Constitution-News took the opportunity to ask Representative Hodges that,”Given the fact that he has portrayed himself as a Conservative “Dixiecrat”; What influenced his decision to hire Jake Breymaier (who has worked on several campaigns in Illinois, including anti-Second amendment advocate Lisa Kelley (D) Illinois) and did he think by hiring Breymaier was he sending a “mixed” message to voters?”
Representative Hodges responded by saying that Mr. Breymaier was from Ohio and that he was hired for his ability to run campaigns. Hodges added that Breymaier had no influence on his beliefs or decision making.
Following the meeting I spoke to Breymaier , who stated that he has a strong record of winning elections and that his car had Ohio tags on it if I would like to look at them.- Editor
